Vitra DAR Armchair by Charles & Ray Eames. The Vitra Eames DAR Armchair is Vitra's re-edition of the now legendary Eames Fibreglass Chair. It is based on the original 1950 design' the first industrially manufactured plastic chair. In 1993, Vitra discontinued production for ecological reasons, as fibreglass cannot be recycled. Thanks to recent advances in technology and materials, they are now proud to offer the Eames Plastic Chair in the exact same shape, but made of polypropylene.
